Newman Grove is rich in history and family. The farming area surrounding Newman Grove has supported the town for over 100 years.  Many that live here can trace family to the beginning of the town in the 1870′s.  Others have moved to town and decided it was a great place to stay. Things important to rural communities parallel the early settlement days:  strong church, strong education, strong family commitment, healthy environment, social atmosphere, and places to work and shop.

Newman Grove is the Norwegian Capital of Nebraska. They are well-known for their community festivals including Norwegian Days and Shell Creek Valley Days.  A short distance from Norfolk, the community offers fabulous antique shopping, an excellent park system with semi-modern camping, a community swimming pool, tennis courts, a softball complex and sand volleyball. If you’re in search of an adorable and unique place to stay make sure you visit the Crystal Key Inn Bed & Breakfast. Owners Diane and Earl will welcome you with superior heartland hospitality.
