Camping
Norfolk and the surrounding area have much to offer in the way of campgrounds. Whether your “roughing it” or “relaxing,” you’ll find what you need below.
TaHaZouka Park 402-844-2180 • S. Hwy 81 & TaHaZouka Drive, Norfolk, NEThis park consists of 99 acres along the Elkhorn River. Included in the original park boundaries are facilities built back in the WPA days from 1936 to 1943. The old park area is heavily shaded by stately old trees and the focal point is the large lagoon, left over from the days when the Elkhorn River flowed through the area. Also in the original park area there are 4 rental cabins, 2 large picnic shelters, 1 sand volleyball court, 1 lighted official softball field (field #5), bathrooms, picnic tables, barbeque grills, canoe access to the Elkhorn River, fishing opportunities, and a public campground. An off-leash dog recreation area and the rail head to the Cowboy Trail are available for public use.
Camping: The campgrounds at TaHaZouka Park are being renovated and will be re-opened in 2012.
